At the trackside we find the impressive train shed. It was built by Johann Jacobsthal in 1890. It is 225 m long, 92 m wide and 30 meters at the highest point. It is one of the longest ever built and one of many such 'balloon'-style sheds still in use in Europe. Cologne, May 2003.
