The pictures in these pages are taken during a visit to Oslo in march 2000. Rail transport plays an important role in this city. On the surface there are many trams to be seen. Under the surface and partly above there is an elaborate metro system. Then, of course, there are railway connections to other parts of the country. Because of the long distances there are good opportunities for high speed trains. A highspeed train also connects Oslo to the airport.
