| In the earlier days, there was a railway-line from Tilburg in the Netherlands to Turnhout in Belgium. The line was opened on October 1, 1867. On october 7, 1934 the last passengers were transported. June 1, 1973 freight transport came to an end too. After that the tracks were used for a museumline up to 1981. Six years later, the tracks were removed and the route was transformed to a cycletrack. This track and some of the still remaining buildings of the former railway are shown on these pages. | |
