pages a collection of pictures taken during our September 2002 visit to
the south of England are presented. Unluckily I lost my digital camera and
some of the memory cards coming along with it halfway the trip. So except
for the fact that the area is very nice we have another good reason for
going back and taking some more pictures. Since the railway act of 1993
British railways have been privatized. Many private companies operate both
the main lines and the regional lines. Although privatization does not really
seem to lead to a modern and efficient railway system, at least it ads to
the color and variety to be seen on British railway tracks The pages that
followed are grouped according to city where the pictures were taken. Therefore
most of the sub-series contain pictures of trains of more than one railway
company. |
